Code Master - Source Code Editor App Reviews

Nice

Hurry with the Dropbox sync

“Close, but no cigar.”

First of all, I have to state that the developer said that there was a revamp in place. However, compared to the pro version of this app, this looks like a revamp has already been completed. My first thought: this app is extremely polished. When I started coding, I disliked this app a lot. First of all, there is no real way to import and export code. This alone makes it a very poor app. Secondly, there is no tab key. There is also no syntax hilighting. Overall this app is just a BASIC text editor at best. Go with something a little more developed. Kudos to the dev for a polished app, but this needs a little more TLC before I switch.

Purchase Pro Version - still cant preview

I want a refund. Preview doesnt work.

Reduce price of full fledged app!

Cool app but the preview browser feature is questionable. Im not going to take a shot in the dark and spend $10 to see if this feature is worth it. May $4.99 but thats pushing it.

No Google Drive or Dropbox Support

Getting tired of developers no giving a crap about anything other than Apples offerings. If you can offer cloud support for iCloud, Google Drive AND Dropbox, youre wasting my time. Good thing I didnt have to pay for this!

Perfect!

This app was exactly what I was looking for. I could edit my HTML and view what it looked like all in one app! The colored syntax also works well to help me spot my tags easily. This app is exactly what I wanted!

Very nice app

I like how polished the app is, lots of transitions, everything runs smoothly Now heres the issues I found: Im on an iPod 5 and the app thinks my screen is longer than it is, so the buttons on the bottom of the screen are cut off Also I couldnt find any way to import my code, I have a bunch of HTML files on Dropbox, and a few HTML files hosted on the Internet, so importing is a really important feature for me. I do really like this app though!

Didnt work for me either

Stuck at the welcome screen. Double checked the requirements but no go...

This app is a good concept

This app is a good concept, but I feel it has not been executed properly. It crashes when you use certain functions and the syntax editor doesnt work fully.

Im a beginner programmer, and it works perfectly for me, great job.

? I am not sure how to run the command I typed in.

How do I run it?

Not 100%

Not a lot to complain about, runs most anything so put it through. A little confused on CSS/HTML styling though, doesnt recognize <style> tags.

Utterly useless app

Lets start with the basics: if you tap the dk (development keyboard) key at the bottom, it will redirect you to the AppStore, and there is no way to dismiss the splash screen: one has to essentially kill & restart the app. I mean, seriously? As for syntax highlight, there is none I could see for C++, nor it seems to support automatic indent; it is essentially a very basic editor with line numbers on the left. Thats it. To call it a code editor seems to me a gross exaggeration: maybe it works for HTML/CSS or Javascript: but if thats the case, the author should make it very clear in the description. As far as Im concerned, a complete waste of my time.

Exelent

Best

Doesnt work properly

I could not get it to display very simple CSS, and I dont think it was anything I was doing wrong. Part of the problem might have had to do with the apps insistence on showing part of the word "solid" in black in my CSS file, with the last couple or so letters in green. Its also extremely difficult to type in such a small type size. There are no buttons for easily inserting curly brackets or angle brackets. Theres a cryptic icon at lower left which always does nothing but immediately crash the app, every time. I guess its the crash button. Unfortunately, the crash button isnt displayed when you get into a full-page ad with NO options to dismiss it. This was a complete, utter waste.

Doesnt work

Full of bugs.

Was fine

The app does have a lot of bugs but besides that it is good.

Huge potential

This app just doesnt work as advertised, but I want it to. Please keep working on it and update it! Ive wanted a code editor (and hopefully sometime in the future a simple terminal) on iOS for years.

What?

Says it has all these features but not this app it redirects you to the real editor which is 10 bucks. Says it has a editors keyboard where I would like to know where , oh thats right its in the paid version. No in app purchases because it directs you OUT of the app to the store. Slick but devious. Push on!

Cannot use

How do you get code in and out of the app ? And how long does it take to upgrade your server s ?
